A 4-week series for 5 to 12-year-old students. Students will explore creative and functional clay methods (hand-building), including pinch pots, coil building, and/or slab building. Within these methods, an infinite number of possibilities are available!WHEN:
Mondays from 4:00-5:00pm
Session 1: Sept. 8, 15, 22, and 29
Session 2: Nov. 3, 10, 17, and 24
COST:
$55 for the 4 week session (includes all material)
About the Teacher:
Frankie J. Mixon is an SC Arts Commission visual arts fellow; Artist (specializing in pottery, clay sculptures, and mixed media); Classroom art teacher with a BA in art, two MA degrees in Elementary Education, and Reading with an emphasis in Elementary Education. Teaching philosophy: The study of art is an excellent way to promote creativity, self-esteem, and self-expression. EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL.
