Beginners linocut workshop with Artist and Printmaker Abigail Smith

Come along and learn the basics of Linocut Printmaking from scratch. Don't worry if you are a beginner- just bring your creativity and you will be guided through the process from start to finish in a fun and relaxed environment.

You will carve your own lino block, print a greeting card, and be able to take your Lino sheet away with you so that you can re print at home.

This class is suitable for those who are completely new to Linocut printmaking. You don't need printmaking or drawing experience.

The class will cover:

• Introduction to Linocut printmaking and techniques
• Creating your image and transfer of image onto Lino
• Carving your image
• Inking and rolling your Lino block
• Printing your image to create your own 5" x 7" greeting card
