Guided Education Intro to Stained GlassApril Showers bring May Flowers!
Celebrate the spring season and create your very own stained glass Daisy Chain!
Three colorful daisies and a glass crystal showcase this 24" spinning Daisy Chain.
A unique two-day beginner experience will introduce you to the fine art of Tiffany-style stained glass.
All materials will be provided, including glass, patterns, tools, and equipment.
Session 1 SUNDAY APRIL 26TH 1-3:30:
An introduction to stained glass; learn about different types of glass and stained-glass styles and choose from an beautiful assortment of glass. Attendees will learn to use tools to score and safely cut glass and complete a rough layout of projects.
Session 2 SUNDAY MAY 3RD 1-3:30:
students will have hands on instruction to prepare their projects for soldering using the Tiffany method of copper foiling. Each piece of glass will be edged with copper foil and will also have the opportunity to work with chain, wire, and jump rings to customize their Daisy chain.
You will be amazed at how your project transforms into a beautiful work of art!
Grinding and soldering will be completed by the instructor. Completed soldered projects will be available for pick-up at Infloressense after May 17th.
*If you wear readers, bring them! You will definitely need your eyes.
* Closed-toed shoes and safety glasses are highly recommended, especially when cutting glass.
