Beginner Hand Lettering Workshop

Curious about hand lettering but not sure where to start? This beginner-friendly one-hour workshop with Laura Kenyon is exactly the right place. Laura has spent 14 years teaching herself lettering across just about every medium and method imaginable, and she brings that hands-on, low-pressure approach to every class.
You'll learn about basic materials including paper types, pens, and markers, and explore the difference between handwriting and hand lettering. Laura will demonstrate simple lettering styles, faux calligraphy techniques, and easy illustrative elements like bounce lettering and shadows. You'll have time to practice with individual guidance throughout the session. The class also covers practical ways to use lettering in everyday creative projects like journaling, card making, and decorative writing.
All skill levels welcome. If you've never touched a brush pen before, you're in exactly the right place.
Registration fee includes practice sheets, paper, basic pens, and instruction.
Seats are limited to 20 participants.
