About this Event
Before the Shelves Move: Writing Memories of Nuneaton Library
Join us for a warm and reflective writers’ workshop with critically acclaimed Nuneaton-based author Natalie Marlow, celebrating our memories of Nuneaton Library. Whether you grew up among its shelves, discovered a life-changing book there, or simply found a quiet corner to think, this session invites you to turn those moments into meaningful writing.
Through guided prompts, gentle discussion, and creative exercises, we’ll explore the sights, sounds, and emotions tied to library. This is a welcoming space for writers of all levels, whether you’re putting pen to paper for the first time or returning to a long-loved craft.
Come reconnect with your memories, share your voice, and commemorate this much-loved community space. Let’s write the stories that libraries helped shape. Bring a notebook, your favourite pen, and your memories.
This event is great for:
- Inspiring writing prompts centred on memory and place
- Offering ppportunities to share (optional, always encouraged)
- Writing in a supportive, relaxed creative environment
- Taking time to write, reflect, and connect with fellow writers
- Discovering what our libraries offer
This event is part of Before the Shelves Moves, a Warwickshire Libraries project in collaboration with Nuneaton-based, critically acclaimed author Natalie Marlow, proudly funded by the West Midlands Readers Network. Find out more about the project and how you can get involved on our website.
