Paying homage to Black History Month, Channel 5’s “Chronicle” reporter Ted Reinstein will tell the inspiring story of ordinary, everyday Americans who did extraordinary things to overturn an historic injustice. They were men and women, black and white. They were baseball players, journalists, Pullman porters, and political leaders with a conscience. They paved the way for Jackie Robinson and achieved a landmark victory. But they’ve remained largely unknown. Until now. The event is free and open to the public.
Doors open at 2 PM for a social period and refreshments
2:15 PM – Brief Society announcements followed by the Guest Speaker
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Bedford Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
