A double the blues evening at Pennsylvania's most exciting music venue, featuring two of New England's best live blues music bands.
Bees Deluxe is a British-American acid blues band known for their dynamic performances from Maine to Miami, frequently appearing at Jamey's House of Music. They skillfully blend original compositions with reimagined classics by legends like Etta James and Billie Holiday. The band has shared the stage with notable artists such as Ronnie Earl and Walter Trout. Their latest album, "Hallucinate," was praised by John Kereiff of The Rock Doctors Hot Wax Album Reviews, who likened it to “Steely Dan playing the blues.” With a mission to modernize the genre, Bees Deluxe delivers a fresh and distinct musical experience.
One Dime Band, comprised of John Brauchler and Paul Gallucci, has made waves in the blues scene, winning the 2022 Boston Blues Challenge solo/duo act and the 2023 Granite State Blues Society Challenge. They competed in the semi-finals of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in January 2024. Originally an acoustic duo in high school, they blend blues, R&B, and soul in their music. Their 2020 album "Hoodoo & Holy Water" received critical acclaim, while their latest release, "Side Hustle," features collaborations with artists like Paul Kochanski and Johnny Blue Horn. Their evolving sound continues to captivate audiences.
