BEES! @ the GardenThe PumpHouse Museum and the Limestone Beekeepers’ Guild are heading to the Hwy 15 Indigenous Food Sovereignty Garden for a special Bee Week program with Kahwa:tsire Indigenous-Led Child & Family Programs and All My Relations Land Trust.
Inspired by the PumpHouse Museum’s BEES! exhibition, we’ll be bringing bee-themed books, hands-on activities, playful learning stations, and plenty of pollinator curiosity. Families are invited to join us in the garden for a morning all about bees, pollinators, plants, and the important relationships that help gardens and food systems grow.
Throughout the morning, participants will also take part in planting, caring for plant relatives, songs, stories, language-learning games, and outdoor activities led by the Garden’s Indigenous-led programming team and partners. Community guests from the Métis Nation of Ontario, Ontario Native Women’s Association, Indigenous Interprofessional Primary Care Team, and KidsInclusive will also be joining for a morning of learning, connection, and fun.
Everyone is welcome to explore the garden, learn about bees, and celebrate the connections between pollinators, plants, people, and the land.
