Join us at Beechwood Cemetery for the Annual Historical Tour, a unique event that brings history to life. This year, we celebrate the incredible stories of four trailblazers who shaped Canada’s history. Presented as a living library, this immersive experience features performances by the Ottawa School of Theatre.
Attendees will receive a map to explore the cemetery at their leisure, visiting stations where actors will portray these remarkable individuals. Don’t miss the opportunity to interact with the performers and delve deeper into these fascinating lives.
Featured Trailblazers:
Ruth Margaret Spencer (Section 27, F, Grave 274) - A dedicated librarian and WWII veteran, Ruth established libraries for naval bases and later served as the first professional librarian at Canada House in London, fostering education and literacy throughout her career.
