About this Event
The #1 Protective Factor for Youth is having a trusted adult in their life who believes in them.
The Trusted Adult program takes a two-generation approach to our youth mental health crisis. Our goal is to build adult skills in order to create a web of trusted adults in the community. Together, youth and adults facilitate the journey to wellness.
This special training includes implementation support for participants who work with youth. After the training, participants will meet weekly on Zoom for seven weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12pm to 1 PM to walk through weekly implementation guides and apply what they've learned.
Join us to learn how to:
- Understand what is happening with youth right now
- Recognize the needs of the youth in your life
- Learn the social and emotional skills and the mindset that you need to become a trusted adult
- Engage with youth to increase their overall well-being
- Support youth during mental health challenges
- Recognize how your relationship contributes to youth mental health
- Practice engagement skills and receive helpful insights and tips
- Grow your skills to integrate tools into your youth programming
Together, through intergenerational partnership, youth and adults facilitate the journey to wellness.
