This class is intended for skippers and crew interested in sharpening their racing skills.
Classroom Session: 9am - 11am
In the classroom you'll learn how races are conducted and formatted, where races are advertised and how to enter, how the racing rules apply around the course and what to do if you think rules have been broken.
On the Water Session: 11:45am - 4:30pm
On the water you'll practice start techniques, mark roundings, upwind, reaching and running legs and finishing, as well as boat control drills designed to develop close quarters handling and speed control. You'll practice on short race courses, with lots of maneuvers and lots of repetitions.
