2026 Climate Best Open, a celebration of PDGC becoming a non-profit organization
It is my greatest pleasure to announce that the Peninsula Disc Golf Club is hosting the 2026 Climate Best Open at Emerald Hills Golf Course on Saturday, August 22. A highly requested PDGA-sanctioned tournament will return to Emerald Hills for the first time since 2023.
And if that news is not exciting enough, the Peninsula Disc Golf Club is now also a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This official recognition elevates the standing of our club in the eyes of the local community, bringing increased credibility as we seek to partner with local businesses and governments to increase access to the game we all love.
The Climate Best Open is a celebration of the nearly two decades of history (yes, pre-dating Emerald Hills) that has led the Peninsula Disc Golf Club to this point.
Registration is now open for women, juniors, and those wanting to support the club through early registration.
General registration opens on Sunday, July 12.
The field is limited to 72 players total. Mark your calendars to cement your spot in this historic event.
