Glasgow’s Becci Wallace is a singer-songwriter, producer, and creative force in Scotland's vibrant music scene. With a career that bridges heartfelt storytelling and innovative collaborations, she has carved out a unique space in the industry. Known for her soaring vocals, intricate harmonies, and thought-provoking lyrics, Becci’s music resonates far beyond her roots.
Her debut album Fragmentality (2015) captivated audiences, earning critical acclaim and extensive radio play across Scotland and the UK. In 2020, her follow-up project Present Tense solidified her reputation, becoming BBC Radio Scotland’s Roddy Hart’s ‘Record of Note’ and gaining traction across national radio and international playlists.
Now, Becci is poised to release her highly anticipated third album, After the Fog… Air, a compelling collaboration with Scottish hip-hop producer Steg G, set for April 2025. Their partnership weaves together genre-defying sounds and poignant storytelling, promising a captivating listening experience. Fans can catch Becci and Steg on tour across the UK throughout Summer and Autumn 2025.
Beyond her solo work, Becci’s versatility shines in collaborations with acts like The Pearlfishers, Dopesickfly, and Mima Merrow, as well as her contributions to major projects like Karine Polwart's Enough is Enough and the COP26 Climate Justice Cabaret. Her voice and lyrics have reached global audiences, combining artistry with activism.
As the founder of SongSeeds Songwriting Retreats and That’s What She Said podcast series, Becci is a dedicated mentor and advocate for young and emerging artists. She also hosts Songwriters on Songwriting for Glad Radio, fostering conversations that inspire Scotland’s creative community.
With an MA in Songwriting and a PhD in hip-hop pedagogy underway, Becci brings her experience to her role as a lecturer at UWS, shaping the next generation of musicians.
