About this Event
American Red Cross CPR Class
No matter if you are the individual with PD, a care partner, or other family member, do you have concerns that you wouldn't know what to do if someone began to choke or became unresponsive? This is your opportunity to learn the skills that can save a life.
This event is being offered free of charge for members of the PRO community. We would like to thank Sean Richardson with CPR Lifesaving Inc. for generously providing this class.
The American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for victims about 12 years and older. The course includes choking.
Note: All participants must be able to express their ability to get down/up from the ground to demonstrate a minimum of 30-chest compressions that achieve a 2-inch compression depth and deliver 2-rescue breaths. Participants may then, if necessary, transition to a tabletop to practice and complete skills assessment.
Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult CPR/AED valid for two years
Registration is limited to 12 participants, sign up early!
Please Note: This class is for care partners, other family members who care for a loved one with Parkinson’s, and individuals with PD only. It not intended for those requiring CPR certification for their job.
