Beavers in the Weaselhead
About this Event
Join us for an exciting exploration of the Weaselhead Natural Area as we search for signs of one of nature’s most important ecosystem engineers—the beaver! Participants will discover lodges, dams, and freshly cut trees while learning about the fascinating history, biology, and behaviors of beavers. Together, we’ll uncover how these incredible animals support biodiversity and keep our watersheds healthy. Hopefully we will also meet the family of beavers living by the bridge!
Terrain for this hike will be a mix of paved trail and dirt trails with a total of approximately 4km traveled.
This event is great for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
If there are any accommodations we can make in order for you to join us, please let us know!
