kihêw waciston and Cedar T present Beaver Hills Indigenous Pageant, a fashion runway experience and drag pageant showcase taking place June 6, 2026 at Allard Hall, MacEwan University. SAVE THE DATE.
Come celebrate Indigenous resilience and creativity through fashion and drag artistry in Alberta’s first Indigenous Drag Pageant.
PAGEANT:
Contestants from across Treaties 6, 7, 8 are encouraged to register and will compete to receive:
~ A grand prize of $2000
~ A beaded crown and sash
~ The title of “Beaver Hills 2 Spirit Royalty.”
Each out-of-town contestant is eligible to receive a travel stipend & accommodations. All contestants will be provided a small honorarium for participation.
FASHION RUNWAY
We are seeking 4 Indigenous designers and up to 12 models to be featured in the runway element of this showcase.
Designers will be compensated and models will be provided with a small honorarium.
