This year’s theme — “RISE: African Excellence in a New Era” — celebrates African identity, intergenerational leadership, and community resilience. Every contribution directly powers the next generation of changemakers through our programs, youth ventures, and our new BCCA Head Office and Program Space at the Broadway Youth Resource Centre (BYRC), 2455 Fraser Street, Vancouver BC — the home base for our SSLP Venture Hub.
The Experience
- Keynote Voices & Spoken Word – reflections on resilience and vision from Dacious Richardson (RARE) and Marlo Browne.
- Awards & Impact Showcase – honouring pioneers and next-gen leaders.
- Youth Spotlight & SSLP Venture Hub Showcase – real stories of young entrepreneurs building community wealth, including a video from Pitch Competition winner Ife, plus a link to register for the Venture Hub.
- Afrofusion After-Party with DJ Drac & Live Performances – music from across the diaspora and moments to dance, connect, and celebrate.
- Afro-Caribbean Cuisine served throughout the evening.
- Host: Osita David Digital Host: Marie
Your Donation Directly Supports Three Key Funds
1) Community Venture Fund
Build generational wealth with us. Donations marked “Community Venture Fund” are reinvested into the SSLP Venture Hub at our head office (Broadway Youth Resource Centre – 2455 Fraser Street, Vancouver BC), fueling youth entrepreneurship, micro-loans, and business incubation.
Each donor is recognized as a Seed Investor and receives a Community Share Certificate with a projected 3–5× community return on every dollar raised.
(Certificates are non-transferable; see our terms for details.)
If your note does not specify a fund, your contribution will support the SSLP Venture Hub directly to power youth-led enterprises and mentorship.
2) Crisis Response Team (CR Team)
Donations marked “CR Team” sustain our network of legal, social, policy, and data professionals who provide rapid response and direct support to Black families navigating crises.
3) Safe School Hub (SSH)
Donations marked “Safe School Hub” fund the platform’s infrastructure, development, and marketing, ensuring students and families can access justice, resources, and protection through technology that puts community first.
How We Multiply Impact
Unless otherwise directed, each contribution is divided equally — 33% to each fund.
Together, we’re building an ecosystem that empowers youth entrepreneurs, protects families, and modernizes education equity through data and design, anchored by our new head office and program space at BYRC.
