After many raucous evenings of swing, Bristol Community Big Band returns to Bristol Old Vic by popular demand, Wednesdays throughout the summer, 22 July - 2 September!
Made up of non-professional musicians from across Bristol and the South West, BCBB is unofficially (but very probably) the biggest big band in Bristol. Led by local trumpet legend Jonny Bruce, come along for a FREE evening of high-energy big band music in BOV's beautiful Foyer space.
Expect all the hits from the golden era of swing, from Duke Ellington to Dizzy Gillespie, with special guests from across the Bristol jazz scene. Plus, make sure to bring your dancing shoes! Tables will be cleared for the dance floor so there’ll be plenty of room to get down.
