Battlegrounds Game Center Cup

Welcome to the Battlegrounds Cup!
In this event, made for all players brand new to grizzled veteran, you will play a series of 1000 point games of 11th edition 40K to get you prepare for our first formal tournament in this new edition.
How’s it work you ask?
After you pay your $10 registration, you will be placed in a group of 4 players. This will be your pool or pod.
You will have just over a month (7/11-8/22) to schedule, and play a 1000 point game with each member of your pool and report your scores on the league software, www.longshanks.org
you may play a different list, or even a different army each battle of pool play
If both players want to play a larger game size, you may, but 1000 is the default game size
Each game played at Battlegrounds will earn you a ticket in the pool play prize drawing.
You will be responsible for filling out this ticket and putting it in the bucket
All money collected for pool play will be randomly raffled off at the end of the pool stage
Pool play will be used to create rankings for a day of event-end tournaments
The tournaments will be held on Saturday, 8/22
the top half of the rankings will play for the first annual (I hope) BG Gold Cup
the bottom half of the rankings will play for the equally coveted BG Silver Cup
Ok, I’m in. How do I get signed up. Pay your entrance fee at the shop.
On Discord, send Dru (dru_pifel) a dm that you’ve paid, and give him your Longshanks ID and your first name, and he’ll add you to the super secret Discord channel for the event as well as the league software
Let us know your ideal days/times to play and any times you absolutely cannot make it. This will help us create pools of players who will be able to meet up
What if I have a group of friends who’d all like to play each other?
If you have 2-4 people who would like to be in their own pool, we can accommodate that. Remember though, only 2 of you will make it to the Gold Cup tourney!
Let Dru know via DM on Discord the names and discord handles of those in your group.
