Amputee Gait Clinic

The Amputee Gait Clinic is held monthly at UH Portage and provides comprehensive support for individuals navigating life after limb loss. Offered through our Outpatient Rehabilitation Department in collaboration with Yankee Bionics and Andrea Buffington, PTA, the clinic focuses on rehabilitation education, prosthetic education, and walking (ambulation).
Beyond physical care, the clinic fosters a supportive group environment where participants can connect, share experiences, and build confidence together. By addressing both physical recovery and emotional well-being, the Amputee Gait Clinic empowers participants to learn, grow, and share experiences in dealing with life after an amputation.
This is an informational meeting with therapy and prosthetic professionals, not a therapy session.
