Synopsis
Battle For The Bid chronicles the remarkable journey of the Boston University men's basketball program. After their historic 2020 Patriot League championship—and a long-awaited NCAA Tournament appearance—was erased by the COVID-19 pandemic, Head Coach Joe Jones and a determined new generation of players return with unfinished business. Led by graduate student Miles Brewster and seniors Ethan Okwuosa and Malcolm Chimezie, the team battles injuries, pressure, and uncertainty while pursuing the championship that slipped away, all as they prepare for life beyond college basketball.
This special screening is supported by the New York Chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists.
