Battersea & Chelsea Circular Walk
About this Event
You are invited to join our walk featuring some of the the historic locations in Battersea and Chelsea. Highlights include the restored turbine halls of Battersea Power Station, Battersea Park’s riverside promenade, Albert Bridge, and the Kings Road. The walk starts at Battersea Power Station, proceeding along the Thames and through Battersea Park before crossing the Albert Bridge. The route continues into Chelsea proper where we take a scheduled break at the bar in the Everyman Cinema.
After our break we continue along the Kings Road and into those captivating Chelsea back streets famous for those magnificant town houses. We pause at Chelsea Embankment to take an incidental look at Chelsea Quay, one of the brand new riverside spaces created as part of the Thames tideway project or super sewer if you prefer. Our finale is a crossing of Chelsea Bridge to facilitate our return to Battersea Power Station.
This walk offers a considerable opportunity to enjoy notable landmarks and riverside views in a relaxed and sociable setting. Will finish back at Battersea Power Station where the various cafes and riverside spots offer plenty of options for further drinks or refreshments.
