Bat wood carving class

Red River Valley Wood Carving club member Patty Molm will be teaching how to carve a cute Halloween bat.

This will be a good class for Beginners and up. This should not be your first carving experience. We will primarily be using a carving knife, a gouge (preferably #5 or #7), and a V-tool. There will be safety equipment and tools to borrow.

The class is $50 for club members and $55 for non-members to be paid to Red River Valley Woodcarvers. This fee includes the blank. There will be optional stands available to purchase at the class. You must pre-register for the class.

Our classes are held at the Moorhead American Legion Post 21 at 303 N. 30st St. N. Class starts at 9:00 am, with a break at 10:30 for the Red River Valley Woodcarvers meeting. After the meeting is lunch. A cheeseburger basket is included in the class fee. You will need to purchase your own beverage. You are welcome to go out for lunch, but no outside food or drink is allowed in the Legion. After lunch the class will resume.
