About this Event

What if you stumbled into your local bookstore and found yourself in the middle of a tragedy in Denmark
Join us for a performance of Hamlet

At Gower Street Waterstones, Shakespeare isn’t just on the shelves—it’s unfolding in the aisles. With only three days of rehearsal, Will & Co will breathe life into the Bard’s work in a whirlwind of energy, passion, and spontaneity. Presented in a promenade style, each 45-minute performance distils the essence of a Shakespeare play into a vivid, accessible experience—where scenes emerge around you, characters pull you into their stories, and the line between audience and stage disappears. This is Shakespeare unplugged: raw, immediate, and alive in the heart of a bookstore.

And if you're curious about the magic behind the scenes, you can even book a spot to watch an hour of rehearsal, where the creative process becomes part of the performance. We strip Shakespeare back and present it to you close up—unpredictable, bold, and happening between the bookshelves.

Performance: Monday 18th & Tuesday 19th May at 7pm
