Acting & Scene Study - Practical Workshop for Actors

What our workshop covers

This is a practical acting workshop that delves into scene analysis and developing strong, intentional character choices.

• Many actors rush to performance — but skipping scene analysis and proper character work can mean missing the heart of a scene. We will explore this essential (and often overlooked) step of breaking down a scene, then getting on your feet and acting. A scene will be sent in advance.
• Your work can be taped on the phone in class or book into our Mondays Self Tape Practice class to film the same scene you did in this class at a discounted rate.
• Small group up to 6

A scene will be sent a day in advance. Through practical tools, and guided exercises, we’ll help you uncover what drives each character, different ways to deliver the scene and how thoughtful analysis leads to truthful, compelling choices.

After the first half actors will get up on their feet and bring the scene to life through performance. You will receieve feedback as you move through the scene with your partner.

Whether you’re an actor, writer, or director, this workshop will give you a deeper understanding of story, sharpen your interpretive skills, and elevate your creative work.
