Banjo Extravaganza Festival
Join us July 17–18, 2026, at Hagood Mill Historic Site for two unforgettable days celebrating the banjo, Appalachian culture, and the rich traditions of the Southern mountains.

The festival begins with a special evening in the Heritage Pavilion featuring the premiere screening of Andy Eversole's new documentary, Banjo Earth: North Carolina. The film explores the people, places, and traditions that have shaped North Carolina's remarkable banjo heritage.
Following the documentary, acclaimed Appalachian musician Murphy Campbell will take the stage for a special live concert celebrating the musical traditions of the Southern mountains.
