About this Event
Celebrating Owl Eyes Wilderness Survival's 10th Anniversary!
Join us for this Halloween special class and learn to make tools out of bone! Class will cover how to find and locate ethically gathered bone, bone identification, how to score and break bone for crafting, how to grind bone into various objects. Students will make a bone arrowhead, and depending on time, can create a needle or awl as well.
Required Gear:
- Water and Snacks
- Flashlight (headlamps preferred)
- Notebook and Pen (optional)
- A Camp Chair
All materials provided. This class is outdoors and students should be appropriately dressed for the weather. Class will continue until dark, which flashlights will come in handy.
All ages are welcome, all participants will be working bone troughout class and should come prepared with a focused attention.
This class will be taught by Tim Swanson, founder and lead instructor of Owl eyes Wilderness Survival.
