Museo Leikissä juhlistetaan Espoo-päivää ilmaisella Back to the 50s -tapahtumalla lauantaina 29.8. klo 10 - 17. Luvassa on ohjelmaa 1950-luvun teemalla museon tuoreen Aikamatkaseikkailu 1950 -näyttelyn hengessä. Tule esimerkiksi kokemaan rock 'n' rollin kuninkaan, “Elviksen” esitys ja ihastuttava fiftarimuotinäytös, opettelemaan ja ihastelemaan fiftaritansseja sekä osallistumaan limbokisaan! Luvassa myös kivoja työpajoja ja non-stop-tekemistä. Tapahtumassa on avoinna pieni vintagetori, jossa voit tehdä hurmaavan nostalgisia löytöjä.

Museo Leikin stagen ohjelma:
klo 10.30 ja klo 15.30 Limbokisat
Osallistu hauskaan limbokisaan tai tule kannustamaan huimia kisasuorituksia. Kisaan saa osallistua niin lapset kuin aikuisetkin ja taustalla soivat 50-luvun rytmit. Parhaat suoritukset palkitaan!
klo 11.00 ja 13.30 Hip Shakers Helsinki: Rockabilly Jive -tanssiopetusta
Hip Shakers Helsingin rento tanssituokio, johon olet tervetullut kokeilemaan matalalla kynnyksellä. Et tarvitse aiempaa tanssikokemusta tai tällä kertaa pariakaan, vaan riittää, että hyppäät rohkeasti mukaan tanssilattialle. Hip Shakers Helsingin tyyliin tärkeintä ovat hyvä fiilis, yhdessä tekeminen ja musiikin ilosta nauttiminen. Tule kokemaan, miksi 1950-luvun rytmit saavat jalat liikkeelle vielä tänäkin päivänä!

Luvassa on säihkettä, tunnetta ja unohtumattomia säveliä, kun Museo Leikin lavalle nousee Suomen johtava Elvis-artisti ARON. Tule fiilistelemään rock’n’rollin alkuaikojen huumaa ja kuulemaan Elviksen nostalgiset 1950-luvun hitit.
klo 12.00 ja 14.30 Hip Shakers Helsinki: Rockabilly Jive -tanssiesitys
Hip Shakers Helsinki tuo Museo Leikkiin ripauksen aitoa 1950-luvun tanssin iloa ja svengiä! Juha ja Nina ovat intohimoisia rockabilly jiven harrastajia, joille rytmikäs roots-musiikki ja tanssi ovat paljon enemmän kuin harrastus – ne ovat elämäntapa. Luvassa on siis energinen tanssiesitys fiftarihengessä!
Klo 13.00 ja 15.00 Pin-Up Petrolsin fiftarimuotinäytös
Pin-Up Petrolsin upeat mallit ja Wannabeen huikeat fiftarityyliset asut valloittavat Museo Leikin lavan lumoavalla muotinäytöksellään. Tule seuraamaan huikeaa aikahyppyä 1950-luvulle, jossa naisellinen eleganssi ja kapinallinen rock’n’roll kohtaavat.

klo 10.30-13 Aikamatkaseikkailu-työpaja
Työpajassa visioidaan tulevaisuuden lasten elämää rakentamalla vuoden 2100 utopiakaupunki. Missä ja miten tulevaisuuden lapset asuvat ja käyvät koulua, missä he leikkivät ja miten kulkevat paikasta toiseen?
klo 11-16 Vintagetori
Tule ja poimi talteen palanen kultaista 1950-lukua! Vintagetorin Mementon ja Wannabeen myyntipöydiltä löydät muun muassa nostagisia fiftarihenkisiä vaatteita, koruja ja somisteita.
klo 11-15 Hattarakioski (ulkona säävarauksella)
Tule ostamaan Suomeen 1950-luvulla saapunutta uutuusherkkua hattaraa! Museo Leikin ystävien hattarakioskista voit ostaa ihanaa ja suussasulavaa hattaraa, ja tukea samalla museon toimintaa.
klo 14-16.30 Paperinukketyöpaja
Kynä, sakset, paperi! Työpajassa pääset valmistamaan 1950-luvun suosikkileluja, paperinukkeja ja niille upeita asuja.

Museo Leikin näyttelyyn on piiloutunut Tietäväisen paperinukkeperheen kuusi jäsentä. Etsi paperinukkeperheen jäsenet ja voita Lasten vuosikortti Museo Leikkiin.
Amerikan rauta
Museo Leikin pihalle on kurvaa tapahtuman ajaksi Tomahawk Town -autokerhon 1950-luvun Amerikan rauta. Tule ihastelemaan ja ottamaan kuva fiftariauton kanssa.

Back to the 50s – Espoo Day at Museum Leikki
Celebrate Espoo Day with a free Back to the 50s event at Leikki – the Museum of Play on Saturday 29 August from 10 am to 5 pm. Step into the atmosphere of the 1950s and enjoy a day inspired by the museum's new exhibition Time Travel Odyssey 1950.
Experience the King of Rock 'n' Roll in an exciting Elvis show, admire a charming 1950s fashion show, learn the basics of Rockabilly Jive, enjoy lively dance performances and join the fun limbo competition. Throughout the day, you can also take part in creative workshops, enjoy non-stop family activities and browse a small vintage market full of nostalgic treasures.

Join the limbo contest or cheer on the competitors! Children and adults alike are welcome to take part while classic 1950s hits fill the air. Prizes will be awarded for the best performances.

Everyone is welcome to give Rockabilly Jive a try with Hip Shakers Helsinki. No previous dance experience or partner is needed – just step onto the dance floor and enjoy the music, movement and friendly atmosphere.

Enjoy sparkle, emotion and unforgettable melodies as Finland's leading Elvis performer ARON brings the spirit of early rock 'n' roll to Museum Leikki with beloved hits from the 1950s.

The fabulous models of Pin-Up Petrols, dressed in stunning vintage-inspired outfits by Wannabee, present an elegant journey back to the 1950s where timeless glamour meets rebellious rock 'n' roll.
