For over 60 years, one of the pillars of Zion has been its educational ministry. As we look back on Zion's history, we are grateful for God's providence that brought renewal to our ministry through Evergreen Academy, our teachers, and our leadership team.
Our Back to School Blessing Day is an opportunity to recognize the dedication of our team at Evergreen Academy as they commit and are commissioned for another year of service at Zion. Our worship together will also be an opportunity to bless students, teachers, and staff at any and all educational institutions as they begin the 2026-2027 school year.
We will follow the worship service (in the Church Sanctuary) with a grander-than-usual time of food and fellowship in Katie Luther Chapel. As we break bread together, we will assemble 60 blessing bags that can be taken and distributed to those who are homeless/unhoused "on the go." This will be an ideal project for little hands who want to participate in this act of kindness.
