It is with great pleasure that we announce the Launch Party at Manchester Museum/South Asia Gallery for the Aziz Ibrahim ltd edition coloured double vinyl album 'Lahore To Longsight'.
Not only will this album be released on the 18th April for Record Store Day but also, it will be included into the South Asia Gallery display cabinets as a piece of British South Asian History!
There's a fantastic evening planned (all for free) with the Lahore To Longsight exhibition in the South Asia Gallery including a short documentary on the why's & what to do with this album & its title but also performances & presentations (downstairs main hall) rounded off by super DJ's from Manchester & the South Asian music scene.
Included in the exhibition is the Lahore wall based upon the photographic book by Ali Cheema (available in the museum shop) an artistic photographic depiction of Lahore through his eyes & perspective.
The left wall will be the Longsight exhibition on Aziz & other Longsight family's photographic memories as south Asian growing up in Longsight in the 60's, 70's & 80's.
The album will be available for sale through the Museum Shop! Limited number of stock!
