Awareness: A Yoga & Sound Experience

Join Darren Obong and Karen Shideler for an intentionally curated slow yoga flow and sound experience at Ra Yoga Long Beach. In this 2-hour workshop experience you will be led and guided through a slow and intentional yoga class to help you reconnect to the body and the breath, the class will then lead into a sound experience where you will be immersed in the vibrations of crystal alchemy singing bowls and other instruments.

Darren Obong

Darren is an intuitive guide and embodiment teacher who has extensive training in energy medicine, eastern medicine, yoga therapeutics, trauma-informed yoga, breathwork, meditation, functional movement, and mobility. He utilizes his knowledge from these different healing modalities and his knowledge from his education in Traditional Chinese Medicine to help individuals live more embodied and fulfilling lives. He works with people from all walks of life and offers his work privately in 1:1 sessions with his clients, for big corporations, private events, and other special and sacred occasions.

Karen Shideler

Karen is a lover of all forms of movement and is passionate about helping people learn how to create a deeper connection with their bodies and minds. She has been teaching yoga in Long Beach, CA for over 10 years and specializes in leading vinyasa classes that are challenging and dynamic while staying rooted in mindfulness. She hopes her classes inspire people to find more freedom in being themselves, and that when her students step off of their yoga mats and go back into the world they have a confidence built from the inside out.
