Are you an artist who also enjoys history? Our Painting the Past Competition combines both elements and is perfect for you! This online competition involves the historic nature of St. Charles County parks. Participants can pick from a selection of 30 images provided by the St. Charles County Parks Department for artists to recreate using watercolor, oil, acrylic, gouache, and inks only. This contest is for all ages. Pre-registration is required. One submission per artist. Registration is May 1-Aug. 2.
The Parks Department is partnering with St. Charles City-County Library to host the award ceremony at the Katherynn Linnemann Library. Entries will be displayed at one of the library branches.
