Avon Riversides 2100 Monthly Walkabout - Ashton Meadows
About this Event
Join the Avon Riversides 2100 Monthly Walkabout!
Join the Avon Riversides 2100 project team for a short walk along the riverside at Ashton Meadows, one of the locations set to benefit from improved flood defences. Learn about what is planned and tell us what you would like the riverside to be like in the future.
Meeting point: We will meet on the south bank at Ashton Avenue Bridge (BS3 1RX) - see yellow dot on map below. We will finish in the same location.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of the walk to allow time for introductions, orientation and a safety briefing.
The walk will begin with a brief overview of the project and the specific stretch of the river.
Further information about this walk:
- Distance: Approximately 0.5 miles

- Surface conditions: The route is largely a tarmaced/gravel path but is narrow in parts and tree routes pertrude in some areas.

- Facilities: Please note there are no toilet facilities available on the route.
- Parking and transport: The nearest bus stops are 'Ashton Gate' or 'Cumberland Basin'; both serve the M2 bus.
