Zhesht Events presents Autumnal Depression with October Tide, Psychonaut 4 and Ennui
🇸🇪October Tide
October Tide is a Swedish death-doom band that was created in 1994 by Katatonia members Jonas Renkse and Fredrik Norrman as a side project to continue their extreme metal legacy, while Katatonia was heading towards a mellower, cleaner musical direction. The band recorded two albums, Rain Without End (1997) and Gray Dawn (1999), that are now considered among one the most influential death/doom metal albums of all time.
October Tide disbanded in 1999, but was revived 11 years later, when Norrman left Katatonia and has since recorded 5 more albums and played several shows & festivals all over the world, securing themselves as one of the leading European death/doom bands.
🇬🇪Psychonaut 4
Psychonaut 4 is a Tbilisi-based musical collective that blends the raw intensity of black metal with melancholic, depressive rock elements. Since 2010, the band has transformed themes of urban loneliness, existential despair, addiction, mental illness, and Post-Soviet life into a haunting sonic experience that resonates worldwide, establishing them as the most prominent extreme metal act from the Caucasus region. Over the years, their sound has evolved from raw early demos into a more refined, atmospheric approach, actively incorporating native Georgian lyrics and motifs for greater emotional intensity and cultural authenticity.
🇬🇪Ennui
Ennui is a funeral doom metal band from Tbilisi, Georgia, founded in 2012. Known for monumental soundscapes and deeply emotional compositions, the band explores the most desolate forms of melancholy through massive guitars, cavernous growls and hauntingly slow tempos. Their themes revolve around existentialism, loss, depression and the void — and their latest album Qroba, released in February 2026, continues that journey as a meditation on coming to terms with the inevitable.
