Join us for a Mabon celebration—our autumn equinox gathering of food, friendship, and seasonal magic. What is Mabon?
Mabon marks the second harvest and the balance of day and night before we step into the darker half of the year. It’s a time for gratitude, reflection, and preparing for rest, while honoring the transformations in both nature and our own lives.
While Unitarian Universalists aren’t strictly pagan, we welcome people of all faiths to unite under our seven shared principles. Our Seventh Principle—respect for the interdependent web of all existence—beautifully complements the themes of Mabon and its celebration of balance, harvest, and connection.
Themes:
Balance & inner harmony
Gratitude & abundance
Letting go & preparing for winter
Honoring cycles of life, death, and renewal
Potluck Foods & Flavors:
Bring a dish inspired by fall’s bounty. Ideas include:
Apples (baked, spiced, or cider)
Squash, pumpkins, root vegetables
Spiced nuts, cranberries, dark berries
Mulled wine, grape must, or mead
Pies, roasted meats, hearty grains (farro, rye)
What to Bring:
A seasonal dish to share (vegetarian and vegan options welcome)
Your own plate, cup, and utensils (zero-waste friendly)
An open heart and a spirit of celebration.
This is an all-ages, inclusive event—whether you’re UU, pagan, curious, or just love autumn, you’re welcome in our circle.
Let’s share the harvest, honor the balance, and celebrate the turning of the year—together.
