About this Event
A new chapter for built environment research at AUT.
The Auckland University of Technology CIB Student Chapter is officially launching, and you're invited to be part of it.
Established in May 2026 within Huri te Ao | School of Future Environments, the Chapter is part of the global network of CIB Student Chapters — the International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction. It exists to connect AUT students with research, industry, and an international community working on the future of the built environment.
What to expect on the day
- Mihi whakatau and welcome
- Opening remarks from the Head of School and Faculty leadership
- An industry keynote on AI, digital twins and decision-making in the built environment
- Reveal of the Chapter's new logo and the official ribbon-cutting launch
- Refreshments and networking with students, staff, industry partners and invited guests
Who should come
Undergraduate, master's and doctoral students across SoFE, plus staff, alumni and industry partners interested in research, digital transformation, sustainability and innovation in construction and the built environment.
