Join us at West Edge Factory for the August First Saturday Art Market, happening Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 11 AM to 4 PM.
This market will feature Appalachian vendors, including craftspeople, makers, and artists of all kinds, all sharing unique handmade goods. Enjoy live music throughout from buskers Mark Smith, Steven Arthur, Jamie Painter, and the Sweet Adelines 🎵 Participate in hands-on art activities and get some fresh produce from the mini farmer's market pop-up by Refresh Appalachia!
Available art activities for this market include:
From 11-1, there will be a Block Printmaking for Beginners workshop in the Turret Gallery. This is a ticketed workshop, and seats are very limited. You can reserve your ticket here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/block-printing-for-beginners-2
From 1-4, market visitors of all ages can experiment with Lego Printmaking in the Turret Gallery!
There will also be an opportunity to contribute to the next portrait for our community mural project, SOLIDARITY throughout the market.
