Sean A. Milner is a graduate of Mississippi College and Mississippi College School of Law. Sean was the founding partner of the Milner & Nixon, PLLC law firm. For 23 years his areas of practice included real estate, business law, family law, wills & estates and criminal defense. Sean retired from the practice of law when he became the 11th executive director of The Baptist Children’s Village in November 2016. In 2012, the Honorable Philip Gunn, Speaker of The House of Representatives of Mississippi, appointed him to the Mississippi Ethics Commission where Sean continues to serve as Vice Chairman. Sean is the president of the national Baptist Coalition for Children and Families, he serves as a member of the board of trustees of the national Coalition of Residential Excellence and he is the past president of the Mississippi Association of Child Care Agencies (MACCA). Sean is an alumnus of The Baptist Children’s Village. He holds the record for living at the Baptist Children’s Village longer than any child in its 126 year history. He came to the “Village” at a young age with his three brothers and one sister and remained in the care of The BCV for 18 years. He and his wife Elizabeth have two grown children, Rebecca and Nathaniel.
