August Fire Academy (Class 04-26)
Our August Fire Academy class is August 22nd - October 18th 2026 and is designed to prepare students for firefighter careers across Texas.
Here’s what students can expect:
✅ Firefighter I & II Training
✅ Hazmat Awareness & Operations
✅ Live Fire Training / Burn Day
✅ Hands-on skills
✅ HB 2604 Eligible
Students who complete the academy and pass required testing can become eligible for firefighter positions throughout the state. EMT certification is also required for most paid departments, and students can continue directly into EMT training afterward.
🔥 Program options include:
• Residential-style training
• Funding opportunities for qualifying students. (Funding takes 4-8 weeks to process, don’t wait to start this process.)
