Augmented Reality Workshop: "Alice Dali AR" at Botanic Garden, Durham

Alice watched the white rabbit as he fumbled over the list, feeling
very curious to see what the next witness would be like, “—for they
haven’t got much evidence yet,” she said to herself. Imagine her
surprise when the white rabbit read out, at the top of his shrill
little voice, the name “Alice!”
In 1969, Spanish surrealist artist Salvador Dalí (1904-1989) was commissioned by Random House to illustrate a small, exclusive edition of Lewis Carrol’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” (1865). Dalí painted 12 images for 12 chapters of the book. In this app, Dr Svetlana Rudenko composed on Art images of Dalí and Prof. Mads Haahr narrated the text. The app places the 12 art, music and story encounters in Durham Botanic Garden geographically using augmented reality and lets you find them in an exciting art and music treasure hunt. The app is produced by Haunted Planet Studios.
