Set sail for adventure with How I Became a Pirate, the swashbuckling musical that’s perfect for young audiences and the young at heart! When Jeremy Jacob joins Captain Braid Beard and his quirky crew, he discovers that life on the high seas is full of songs, surprises, and silly pirate rules—like no vegetables and no bedtime! Based on the beloved children’s book, this high-energy show features catchy tunes, colorful characters, and plenty of laughs as Jeremy learns what it really means to be part of a crew. With heart, humor, and a treasure trove of fun, How I Became a Pirate is a delightful voyage for the whole family.Director – Kyle Carlson

CAST REQUIREMENTS: Ensemble cast of 8 to 12 teenagers (age 14 and up).

A SHORT VOCAL SELECTION WILL BE TAUGHT TO ALL TEENS WHO AUDITION; WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHING FOR A DANCE/MOVEMENT AUDITION; COLD READINGS FROM THE SCRIPT.
Performance Dates: Show at the Mount on October 24 at 2:00pm; on tour OCTOBER 15, 16, 21, 22, 23. (Tour dates are weekdays – performers should plan to miss school on these dates)
Tentative Rehearsal Schedule: Sunday afternoons, Monday and Wednesday evenings; beginning August 17.
