We’re happy to announce auditions for Selina Fillinger’s riotous farce—POTUS: Or Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive.
When the President unwittingly spins a PR nightmare for his staff, the seven brilliant, beleaguered women he relies on risk life, liberty, and the pursuit of sanity to keep him out of an international incident.
This show will be directed by Marcie Herman Riebe.
Women of all ages, colors, creeds, orientations, and backgrounds encouraged to audition!
The Characters:
HARRIET -His chief of staff. 50s+
JEAN -His press secretary. 40s+
STEPHANIE -His secretary. 20s.
DUSTY -His dalliance. 20s.
BERNADETTE -His sister. 30s-40s
CHRIS -A journalist. 30s-40s.
MARGARET -His First Lady. 40s+
Those auditioning should have a strong sense of comedic timing as well as willingness to go all out. Being able to remember somewhat complex blocking is a plus. And there are adult themes and adult language—you’ve been warned!
Auditions are Monday, August 24 and Tuesday, August 25 from 7-9 pm at Diva. Bring your rehearsal conflicts with you. Auditions will be done with sides from the script.
