We are excited to announce auditions for the first show of our 2026-2027 season. This show will be directed by Miranda Sue Hartmann. The show will perform October 2, 3, 9 & 10.
"Mauritius", by Theresa Rebeck, is about two estranged half-sisters who inherit a rare stamp collection after their mother's death, leading to a dangerous conflict with high-stakes collectors over two potentially priceless stamps.
Characters: All characters use adult language throughout. Jackie, Dennis, and Sterling are all involved in a staged fight.
• Jackie* (Female-identified, early 20’s-early 40’s, any race) — Smart, quick, a fighter. Recovering from the grief of her mother’s death and unresolved trauma.
• Mary (female-identified, mid 20’s – early 40’s, any race) — Jackie’s half-sister got out of the traumatic home situation and has only returned now that the estate is being settled.
• Dennis* (male-identified, mid 20’s – early 40’s, any race) — A middleman connecting wealthy buyers with unique collectibles. Very interested in Jackie.
• Phillip (Male-identified, 20’s – 60’s, any race) — The owner of a collectibles shop. Grumpy, by-the-book, inflexible.
• Sterling* (Male-identified, mid 30’s – 60’s, any race) — A man with a passion for stamps and willing to go to great lengths to secure what he wants. Intimidating.
