This outdoor production of Iphigenia weaves together Euripides's Iphigenia at Aulis and Iphigenia at Tauris to tell the complete story of one of Greek mythology's most tragic heroines. As King Agamemnon prepares to lead 1,000 ships to war against Troy, the gods demand an unthinkable price: the sacrifice of his daughter, Iphigenia. Caught between his duty as a king and his love as a father, Agamemnon's choice sets off a chain of events that will forever alter the fate of his family. Experience a powerful tale of loyalty, betrayal, and the devastating cost of war.
Mike Haddad directs Theatre@First's fall production, with afternoon shows coming up in local parks on September 26 & 27, and October 3, 4, 10, and 11.
Auditions are by appointment only and will consist of reading from sides, with no monologues required.
