⚾ OPEN AUDITIONS FOR COBB by Lee Blessing ⚾

Cahaba Theatre Group is seeking four strong male actors for Lee Blessing’s gripping drama about baseball legend Ty Cobb, the competing versions of his legacy, and the game that consumed his life.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. No prepared monologue is required.
AVAILABLE ROLES
⚾ THE PEACH
Ty Cobb at age 19. Young, fiercely ambitious, impulsive, and beginning his professional baseball career.
⚾ TY
Cobb in his early 40s, nearing the end of his playing career and determined to control his reputation and his story.
⚾ MR. COBB
Cobb in his early 70s, confronting his younger selves, his mortality, and the legacy he will leave behind.
⚾ OSCAR CHARLESTON
A legendary Black baseball player who challenges Cobb to confront the people and history he refused to recognize during his lifetime.
Actors of all experience levels are encouraged to audition.
