Hey Wildcats! 🐾 Theatre Statesville is excited to announce upcoming auditions for Disney's High School Musical!
ABOUT THE SHOW:
It’s the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes find their cliques, recount their vacations and look forward to the new year. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. They cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical that is being led by Ms. Darbus. Although many students resent the threat posed to the “status quo,” Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.
WHEN:
Sunday, October 11th and Monday, October 12th at 7pm.
You only need to attend one night of auditions. Those auditioning are asked to arrive early and are expected to stay until the end.

AUDITION INFO:
-The show will be directed by Patty Hepler, Musically Directed by Lauren Courtner.
-This audition is for ANYONE and EVERYONE that is interested in auditioning for this production! Please note that we are looking for actors that look ages 13-18 for the high school students. Minimum age to audition is 13. There are roles for ADULTS!
-Audition Policy: All roles, unless otherwise announced, are open. We encourage anyone who is interested to audition and is always eager to welcome new faces and fresh talent to its stage. Theatre Statesville has a non-discrimination casting policy, open to members of all ages, ethnic/national origins, races, sexes, creeds, orientations, and abilities. We encourage members of diverse backgrounds and abilities to audition for our productions.
WHAT TO DO:
-Please be prepared to sing 16-24 bars (30 seconds-1 minute) of music that shows off your voice. A bluetooth speaker will be available for audio tracks from Youtube or an MP3. Please no a cappella singing.
-Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for choreography. -Please have a list of any conflicts (including after school and
weekend commitments).
REHEARSALS:
Rehearsals will be in October, November & December with time taken off for holidays.
PERFORMANCE DATES:
January 22-31, 2027 (Thursday through Sunday)
