Help Steward Atwood Park by supporting biodiversity and native species! Duties will change depending on the time of year, and may include planting, collecting seeds, clearing brush.
For our May workday, we will be doing some plant monitoring in the prairies and along the trails of the woods. Volunteers should bring their hiking shoes and their cell phones, as we will be adding our observations into iNaturalist. Everyone is encouraged to download the app and make a free account prior to the workday.
We will meet at the south prairie and start there, then head over to the north side and hike the trails around the education center. The data we collect will be useful for my crew and I as we start to collect seeds of native wildflowers, sedges, and grasses for future restoration.
