You are invited to join Plymouth’s Attendance Network for Attendance Champions, bringing together senior leaders and practitioners from across the city to strengthen our collective approach to improving school attendance.

In line with the statutory Working Together to Improve School Attendance guidance, this network is a key mechanism for collaboration between schools and the local authority—ensuring a consistent, partnership-led approach to reducing absence and supporting children and families.

This session will provide an opportunity to:

• Collaborate with peers to address shared attendance challenges
• Share and learn from effective practice across Plymouth schools
• Strengthen a consistent, relational approach to attendance in line with national expectations
• Explore strategies to identify and remove barriers for pupils at risk of persistent or severe absence

The Attendance Network plays a vital role in building collective capacity, promoting inclusion, and ensuring that all children and young people in Plymouth are supported to attend, engage, and thrive.
