💚An Introduction to Oil and coldWax Painting
Join me for an informal workshop on using oil paints and wax to create atmospheric contemporary landscape.In this experimental workshop you will be guided step by step on the methods for building up paintings in layers, using wax, oil paints.The workshop will also look at mark making and will explore different ways to create textures and lines using a variety of tools and techniques.
You will be working on paper specifically designed for painting with oils and participants will work towards completing a painting by the end of the workshop.
The workshop will include information about techniques, as well as demonstrations and plenty of time for practice.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and practising artists alike. The focus is on exploration, not perfection.

Choose one session:
Morning: 10:30 – 1:00
Afternoon: 2:30 – 5:00
Each session is limited to 10 participants to allow for individual guidance.

About the Artist
Saima Rasheed is a UK-based artist whose practice spans traditional miniature painting and contemporary landscape. Her work explores memory, place, and atmosphere through layered surfaces and intuitive mark-making.
She has exhibited internationally and regularly teaches workshops, creating warm, welcoming spaces for people to reconnect with their creativity.
