I’m so excited to share that Astrid’s Kitchen will be participating in this year’s National Night Out in Carol Stream!
Have you been secretly wanting to enter your sourdough era but aren’t sure where to start? Maybe you tried once and gave up because, let’s be honest, sourdough starter can sometimes act like a sassy little blob of dough with a mind of its own. Or maybe you’ve already baked a few loaves but still have questions.
Either way, I’ve got you!
Stop by the Astrid’s Kitchen booth, where I’ll be helping you mix your very own sourdough starter to take home. You’ll also receive simple step-by-step instructions to help you develop it into a strong, healthy starter that you can use to bake bread at home with just three simple ingredients.
I’ll also be sharing tips, answering questions, and may even be doing live demos to help you feel more confident getting started.
This is a community event, so I will not be selling bread that evening — but I’d still love for you to stop by, say hi, meet the baker behind Astrid’s Kitchen, and learn more about my local sourdough micro bakery here in Carol Stream.
